hey all! Sorry this is late but I got back from the New Mexico bowl with the Fresno State Marching band! I had a blast but the game was not meant to go our way. Our dogs lost but it was still a fun trip for the 30 of us that went. This is me and pretty much 2 of the most amazing people in the whole band, Ryan Dirlam and David Green (from left to right). This was taken ight before the game while we are waiting outside the UNM stadium for the game.

Hmong New Year

Our ward dressed up for Hmong New Year!!!!

We were able to join the members of our ward today and dress up in Hmong clothes. We were lucky to have a few members let us borrow clothes. It is so much fun to wear them. They are so beautiful. It is one of my favorite sacrament meetings. The Hmong clothes have coins on them that jingle whenever you move. So you hear the soothing sounds of tinkling all day long.

Family DDR

Our family really enjoys DDR. Especially at Christmas time we get out the mats and just hang out and play the game. The day after Christmas we had Chuck's dad, his brother and daughter over to eat and play. It is a fun way to mingle and laugh at the same time.

The Seagle Christmas season

Our Christmas season started with a family party with the Nefs, Jensens and Dills. It is our annual get together. We had a great dinner, fun games and a fun white elephant gift exchange. Adel Nef is an amazing host and does such a wonderful job. We had enchiladas, beans and salad. And to top it all off we had brownies and ice cream. The games were fun...we played a Christmas memory game, threw Christmas cards in a basket and the final game was creating a Santa Claus. We were given red tissue paper, cotton balls and a roll of tape. The picture was our creations.

We had our ward Christmas party on the Saturday before Christmas. It was amazing as usual. The food was great and the entertainment was excellent. The youth performed a couple of dances, the YSA did a Hmong dance and cute skit. The primary did a couple of songs and the high priest could not be left out and had their own skit. It was just a fun afternoon to spend time with our ward.

We had a blessing this year and that was to go Christmas caroling on Christmas eve with our friends. We all meet at the Smiths house and sang to their neighbors. There was the Smiths, Carlsons, Roubiceks, Stouts and Nelsons that contributed to the group. There was such a sweet spirit there and it really made me feel the spirit of Christmas. After walking and singing we had an appetite to eat. So we finished the evening with a Mexican food buffet and just enjoyed great company.

My parents and brother were able to come to our house for Christmas. It was a simple and calm day. We got up and just enjoyed each others company. The day was spent opening presents, watching movies and eating turkey. It was fun having my family here and was glad to spend a quiet day with them.

YSA Christmas party?????

Scott went to the YSA Christmas party at the Lawreneces and look what he came back looking like. He got a new set of grillz and some high dollar blingage. The hat and walk was all a new image. It was his white elephant present that he got. He had a great time.

Leave therapy

My backyard was full of leaves. Our next door neighbor has a tree that hangs over our fence. The leaves were falling in our backyard and pool. So I decided that racking leaves and skimming them out of our pool would make me feel better.

So that is what Brendan and I did. We were able to get the leaves out of the pool and off the ground and into the trash can.

End product...it was great to look around and see that I actually accomplished something productive. It was an amazing feeling.
