I am soooo proud of myself...I actually got the courage to BBQ while we camped. It has been a job that I have gladly given to my husband. I had to learn quickly because he had to work and came up late to the camping weekend. We were starving so I did it. I cooked dinner on a BBQ and it was great. I tried again tonight at our house and guess what it all turned out and it tasted amazing. Now I can not play stupid and have my husband BBQ for us anymore. It actually was kind of theraputic to cook on a open fire. The adventures in my life continue on and on.....Today the BBQ tommmorrow who knows what I will conquer.

A New Goal!!!!
I am going to hike half dome...Sept 20, 2008

This was taken a few years ago and it is my husband. He actually made it and took a picture. So I have been wanting to hike half dome for two years. So I am now in serious training and have my mind set to hike it. So wish me luck. I am running, eating better and getting it set in my mind...
We survived camping
Camp Rancheria 08
Seagle and Nef camping adventure!!!
We spent a day on the lake. The Nef family brought floatation devices and all had so much fun on them. I never went into the cold and freezing lake but enjoyed the sun and the beauty from the shoreline.
Here we are the last day of camping. We are so brave to take a picture after 3 days of camping with no showers. It will be one of the pictures that will bring great memories.

Stop and Smell the Roses
Well I got a new camera and took it to the coast but something happened and I had to reformat the memory card and lost all my pictures. So you will have to use you imaginations....On Friday I did the most amazing thing and that was go to the coast with a few of my friends. It was the best day because we had no plan, no agenda and no time frame. We left early in the morning and drove to see elephant seals. They were so cool to see the on the beach. Then we went to Morro Rock and just walked on the beach, put our feet in the water and collected sea shells. Ater that we went to a great little hot dog place and I had a polish dog. I was being adventuresome because hog dogs normally upset my stomach. Then we went on to a great beach called Montano del Oro and it was an amazing hike along the cliffs and then a walk down to the beach. It was so peaceful and beautiful I could have stayed there for days. Lastly we went to Pismo beach and slept. Yes we know we are moms when we go to the beach to sleep in the sun and not play in the water. We finished our day eating great clam chowder, ice cream and walking on the pier. It just made me realize it is these times that make life worthwhile. It is so important to enjoy the journey and this is a day that I loved and want to do again soon.

4th of July
Another forth of July has come and gone. I had to get this picture from someone else. Felicia lost my camera a week ago so I still have no camera to take pictures.
My parents came from Bakersfield for a visit. We had our good friends the Nef's over for a BBQ. It worked out very well and we had more than enough food. The weather was so nice and it made the whole day a very nice one.
That night we went to the Ekins and watched the Buchanan fireworks. It was fun to be with a group of very nice people. We just sat outside and watched as the fireworks went off into the sky.
Well hopefully I will get a camera and can really get more into this Blog.

1 day down...10 more left!!!!
Well I started summer school and had a good day. I am teaching 22 first grade students. I have not really been in a classroom for several years. I usually teach 2-4 students reading at a time. Those students I normally teach have learning disabilities and attention issues. This is going to be a good experience to get back into the real world of teaching.

This is one of my favorite pictures from Hawaii. I went there last year for a women's retreat and had an amazing time. This picture was taken at 7:30ish in the morning. We had just went and experienced the sunrise in Hawaii. Then we went to a cast your burdens ceremony. We all took a rock that was to represent some burden we were carrying. Then we threw that rock into the water and it was a way of symbolically representing a giving away the burden. It was just fun because afterwards several of us jumped into the ocean and went for a swim. The water was warm enough and it felt good. The hard part was walking back to the dorms in soaking wet sweats.
